Ansted- Bad News Flash!!!

I am sorry to say as it was put to me today,"Game Over".

Do not make reservations to come to Ansted this year. I apologize if you have already.

Why you ask??

I stepped into something neck deep that I did not know about. The core people from Ansted that worked so hard to put the race on for us in the past, had been stiffed by the past organizer (Mr NSLA) 2 years in a row. The volunteers did not get the deal promised and the town was left holding the bag for all of the costs. Basically, they are still pissed and DO NOT want to support us "this year". Please believe me when I tell you that I tried to negotiate a better deal FOR the people of Ansted this year. Maybe time, and an apology from Mr. Shannon can heal this deep wound for the future.

Do not give up the ship just yet. I am still trying to secure a road for the same weekend somewhat near Ansted (Virginia or Ohio). I have 2 locations I am working on that show promise. Biggest problem is the time lost preping for Ansted. 2 months to showtime and I promised you at least a 30 day drop dead date.
